Libby Christensen Nurturing Networks in a Time of Uncertainty: Lessons of Opportunity and Hope from the Northwest Colorado Food System Coalition

Learn about efforts to build and maintain a food system coalition in Northwest Colorado from Libby Christensen, Extension Agent in Routt County. The Northwest Colorado Food Coalition, started in 2012, comprises loosely affiliated individuals and organizations working to strengthen their food and agricultural system. The group has experienced ebbs and flows in energy and interest, but the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic quickly demonstrated the value and need for the coalition. This presentation will explore the opportunities for these types of ag/food-centered coalitions with examples from Northwest Colorado.
