In an annual event targeted for Northern Water allottees and water users, the Spring Water Users Meeting will offer an opportunity for users of Colorado-Big Thompson Project water to offer direct input to Northern Water Board members and administrators regarding the 2020 C-BT Quota. At the meeting of the Northern Water Board on April 9, the Board will consider how much to add to the 50 percent initial quota set in November.

This annual meeting will offer updates on Northern Water activities and perspective on the water picture heading into the 2020 season. Guest speakers will include Corey DeAngelis, the Division 1 Engineer from the Colorado Division of Water Resources, and Jeff Reiker, Area Manager for the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation’s Eastern Colorado Area Office. The lunch keynote will look at the recovery of the Goshen/Gering-Fort Laramie Canal following the catastrophic collapse of the tunnel that occurred in July 2019. Numerous staff from Northern Water will also provide project updates, Colorado River updates and more.
