Snow Measurements and YOU

Niwot Ridge Mountain Research Station
Join us at the Niwot Ridge Mountain Research Station (818 Co Rd 116, Nederland, CO 80466) to learn about how snow measurements are taken and data is used. The event will be led by students from CSU and CU, reasearchers, NRCS, INSTAAR, and CWCB representatives.
Cost to attend is $20. POND will be providing sack lunches and coordinating carpooling to the site. The research center is a two mile round trip hike at elevation. Please remember to bring water, your cold weather gear, sunscreen, and snowshoes or skis! If you are in need of equipment, please contact Erik Skeie (erik.skeie@state.co.us).
Event registration and fees may be paid on the CWC website HERE. Please register by Friday, April 3rd and include any dietary restrictions you may have for the sack lunch. Registration is capped at 20 people, so be sure to register soon for this fantastic event!
CWC will keep you up to date should the need arise to cancel due to COVID-19. Please note in the event of cancelation, registration fees will be returned in full.
