Biography

Dan McGrath is a geoscientist who utilizes geophysical and remote sensing tools to study the cryosphere. Dan completed a B.A. in Geology and Environmental Studies at Bowdoin College and a Ph.D. in Geography at the University of Colorado. Before joining the Dept. of Geosciences in 2015, McGrath was a Research Geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey. His research has involved more than 15 expeditions to Antarctica, Greenland, Alaska and Patagonia.
