Biography

Panagiotis Oikonomou is a postdoctoral associate with Vermont EPSCoR at University of Vermont working on computational modeling of extreme events in coupled natural and human systems. Panagiotis research interests include extreme hydrologic events, climate change, environmental informatics, and the Water-Energy-Food Nexus. He has also participated in several water-related funded research projects in the United States and the European Union. Before joining the University of Vermont, Panagiotis was a Postdoctoral Fellow for two years at Colorado Water Center, and he received his Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University.
