established the Future of Severance Taxes and Water Funding
Task Force to examine the long-term sustainability of Colorado’s
severance tax system, including past and future sweeps of funds,
and its ability to support water projects and local governments.
Republican River Groundwater Curtailment
This 2025 Republican River Groundwater Curtailment Analysis report examines the potential economic impacts of groundwater curtailment in Colorado’s Republican River Basin required to meet the 2030 land retirement mandate under the Republican River Compact.
