Citizen Science Initiatives within the Cameron Peak Burn Area

Interested in helping with Cameron Peak Fire recovery efforts and post-fire monitoring and data collection? Join us for an informative webinar about citizen science programs that are actively recruiting volunteers in and downstream of the Cameron Peak Fire burn area. Panelists will provide information about how you can become involved in post-fire recovery efforts by sharing and contributing to data monitoring and collection programs.

Topics we will cover:
• Stream Tracker’s community-powered stream monitoring program, engaging volunteers in tracking when and where water is flowing within the Poudre Watershed
• Community Collaborative Rain, Hail and Snow Network (CoCoRAHS) grassroots volunteer network of backyard weather observers working together to measure and map precipitation (rain, hail and snow)
• The National Weather Service’s SKYWARN Storm Spotter Program, a volunteer network of 350,000-400,000 trained severe weather spotters
• The Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed’s Citizen Science Water Quality Monitoring Program
