Almost exactly a year ago we sat down with President Biden, Transportation Secretary Buttigieg, and other presidential candidates at our candidate forum on infrastructure to discuss their visions for rebuilding America’s transportation, water, broadband systems and more. Much has changed in 12 months: a new president and a shift of power in congress, we’re entering the second year of a global pandemic, and grappling with an unprecedented economic crisis. Leadership on infrastructure – and leveraging infrastructure as leadership opportunity – has never been more important.
