Rio Rica Film Screening + Discussion
February 10, 2021 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Hosted by Hutchins Water Center at CMU
What role can a wild river play in an increasingly arid West?
Rio Rica is a short film about a young woman’s adventure discovering the extraordinary interconnectivity of watersheds as she explores the Little Snake River, a tributary to the Yampa on the CO – WY border.
The film is a jumping-off point for a panel discussion on the role that rivers like the Little Snake can play in a changing world, in terms of ecological processes, community resilience and recreation.
