Biography
William Sanford is an Associate Professor in the department of Geosciences. Dr. Sanford received a B.S. in Geology at Beloit College in 1983, and an M.S. in Geophysics (1986) and a Ph.D. in Soil and Water Engineering in 1992 from Cornell University. He is a hydrogeologist with broad interests including developing nanoparticles as tracers of flow and transport in porous media, Isotope and tracer hydrogeology, groundwater recharge, groundwater/surface water interactions, flow and transport in fractured media and hydrogeophysics. His work has been at the lab, field and regional scales. Dr. Sanford has worked in Colorado, Tennessee, Australia and Libya.
