Water Well with CWEL Webinar: Grey Water ActionRegisterCheck out Past WebinarsOnline Learning Opportunity: Alternate Water SourcesLaura Allen, founding member of Greywater Action, will be kicking off the 2020 webinars. Laura has spent the past 20 years exploring low-tech sustainable water solutions. She is the lead author of the San Francisco Graywater Design Guidelines for Outdoor Irrigation, and authored The Water-Wise Home: How to Conserve and Reuse Water in Your Home and Landscape (Storey Press, 2015) and Greywater, Green Landscape (2017). She has a BA in environmental science, a teaching credential, and a master’s degree in education. Laura has lead many classes and workshops on rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse, and composting toilets & we’re really glad to have her joining us in January to discuss their latest online learning opportunity, “Alternate Water Sources” being offered through the Northwest Water and Energy Education Institute at Lane Community College. The class focuses on the use of rainwater, stormwater, greywater, blackwater, mechanical water, and recycled water for residential, commercial, and industrial applications. These waters can be reused on-site, typically for non-potable uses with appropriate health and safety precautions as well as technical requirements. Laura will introduce you to Greywater Action, provide a course overview & highlights to get excited about this online learning opportunity.
