Biography

Dimitris Stevis is professor of politics at Colorado State University and a codirector of the Center for Environmental Justice at CSU. His research focuses on labour and environmental politics, with particular attention to labour environmentalism, social and ecological justice and just transition politics. He is on the organizing committee of the Just Transition Listening Project and a core member of the Just Transition Research Collaborative at the United Nations Research Institute on Social Development and the Political Economy Working Group of the Systems of Sustainable Consumption and Production Knowledge Action Network of Future Earth. He has recently co-edited 'Labour in the Web of Life’ (Globalizations 18:4, 2018), Just Transitions: Social Justice in the Shift Towards a Low-Carbon World (Pluto Press, 2019), the Handbook of Environmental Labour Studies (SpringerNature 2021) and has published chapters and articles on the political economy of production and consumption, environmental justice, just transitions, and planetary justice.
