Biography
Dr. Steven R. Abt is a Professor Emeritus of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Colorado State University. He has earned a BCE, an MS in Water Resources and a Ph.D. in Hydraulics from Colorado State University. Dr. Abt is a registered professional engineer in Colorado and a Diplomate (Retired), American Academy of Water Resources Engineer. Dr. Abt over 47 years of general engineering experience. After graduation, he served on active duty in the U.S. Army, Engineer Regiment. He has worked as a consulting water resource engineer in Denver, Colorado performing drainage, flood plain delineation, water rights analysis and computer modeling studies. He has authored or co-authored over 500 publications. Dr, Abt has mentored over 125 MS and 25 PhD. students.
